I was aware of your possible interest in securing the domain once it became available, and there were weeks after Rosebum collapsed and before it became a blog, weeks where it may have been possible to claim the domain, but I was concerned that if I sent you a public message it might inspire someone else to grab it before you could. Private messaging functionality would have been useful.
Rest assured I followed the auction from beginning to end. The domain was doomed the moment it went up for auction as the design is flawed. The length doesn't extend when you bid, allowing squatters to scoop it in the final moments of the auction without giving you adequate time to outbid. The smartest course was to simply not bid and hope it gets released in the wild. Unfortunately a bidding war started at the end.
Additionally, the price went beyond what I was interested in paying for a sentimental domain name so I let it go. There's always next year. Maybe UT will be launched then and the time will be right for RB's return.
